(Be sure and pick up a FREE copy of the calender. They will be available mid November 2009.)

Also, “Birdsnest (Pink)” will be on the postcard for Gender, the brochure, and the press release for the show.

Hells yes. I love this gallery. This will be the third show I’ve participated in. Now I need to update my resume.

Returning to color! Hurrah! I started this before I went on a month long vacation. Just completed last week. It’s a one color silkscreen with conte/color pencil, spray paint, and tea stain added to it. Far simpler than it implies. When you see the print in real life, parts the paper’s texture fights the print is serendipitiously pretty (it looks like crayon/oil pastel in those areas). It’s sad that I’m becoming an expert at making bad prints look good. I’m working on striping down the techniques and just working on more immediate drawings/prints. I’ve started to work with some collaging, I hope to post that soon.

A better version of the finished product. When documenting, if you can present the best version possible upfront, do that. Unfortunately my impatience with scanning and puzzling the pieces in photoshop usually results in craptastic photos instead. A bad habit to change in my future.

Combination of silkscreen/drawing monoprints (or mixed media depending how you want to define it). Completed the final semester.

Graduate school 2nd year:

Artwork completed during my second year of graduate school.

Graduate school 1st year:

Artwork completed during my first year at graduate school. Media range from relief print, etching, silkscreen, and mixed media drawing/prints.
