wolfdogghost

Okay, this makes me feel a little better. I’m finished (maybe) with another character for the prints. I’m calling it wolfdogghost. It’s like the wolf from Red Riding Hood or Three Little Pigs, but a more pathetic version. It kind of reminds me of my dog a little, only she gets pity because she’s beastly fat.

I’m seeing some similarities.

Thanks! It’s not a print technically, but it gets used for the process of the printing. I use this drawing to be exposed on a silkscreen coated with a light-sensitive photo emulsion. The negative space gets burned through the light exposure while the image part doesn’t. It remains soft, then I wash out the unexposed emulsion, leaving regular screen to push ink through.

It kind of looks like this afterward (I used to have an image on flickr, but oh well):

Yeah, she’s pretty cute when she’s not shedding all over the place.
